CAREER NOTES: In her third season at Tulsa … Competed in 11 regattas for the Golden Hurricane … Often appears in TU’s Varsity 8 boats.

2024-25: Participated in six regattas in her sophomore season.

Placed sixth in the 4+ and eighth in the 8+ at the Head of the Oklahoma.
Earned a pair of 1v8+ first-place finishes at the Central Oklahoma Invitational, beating UCO and Kansas State.
Finished runner-up in the 1v8+ Final B at the Sarasota 2K.
Defeated Creighton in a head-to-head 1v8+ competition.
Placed second, second and third in the three rounds of 1v8+ racing at the Lake Wheeler Invitational.
Took silver in the 1v8+ at the Big 12 Championships.

2023-24: Raced in five regattas for TU as a true freshman.

Defeated Central Oklahoma in a 1v8+ head-to-head.
Out-paced Creighton in a 2v8+ showdown.
Finished first in the 2v8+ petite final at the Sunshine State Invitational.
Placed third, fourth and fourth in the three rounds of 2v8+ racing at the Lake Wheeler Invitational.
In the American Championship, helped her team earn second place in the 2v8+.

PRIOR TO TULSA

Was a member of the Egyptian National Rowing Team.
Raced at the U23 World Championship.
Ranked fourth in the World Rowing Beach finals in 2023.
Helped her team finish first at the Egyptian Nationals in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Claimed the Egyptian Cup in 2022 and 2023.
Led her team to a No. 15 world ranking in 2022.
Finished second in the African Coastal Championship in 2021 and 2022.
Finished second in the 2022 African Rowing Championship and 2021 Arab Coastal Championship.
Also competed with the Egyptian U17 National Soccer Team.

PERSONAL

Parents are Bassem and Bassant Madkour.
Has one sibling, Adham.
Grandfather, Alaa Madkour, was a professional soccer player for Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
Started rowing at age 9.
Favorite class at TU is Spanish.
Favorite movie is “The Greatest Showman.”
Favorite actress is Julie Roberts.
Favorite pro athletes are Emma Twigg and Mohamad Salah.
Enjoys going to soccer matches, traveling, riding motorbikes, listening to music and filming.
Once went skydiving over the pyramids in Egypt.
An economics major.
