Mackenzie Ayer is in her third season as a graduate assistant for the women's soccer program.
A three-year letterwinner at Tulsa, Ayer (2008-2010) started in 36 of 38 career games at the defender position where she helped the Golden Hurricane post 11 shutouts. Ayer transferred to Tulsa from Marquette, where she played in 13 games over two years.
Ayer was a three-time Conference USA Academic Medal Winner, while being tabbed to the Tulsa President's List once and to the Dean's List twice. She was also an All-C-USA Academic first team selection and was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI second team in 2009.
A native of Lake Quivira, Kan., Ayer received her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2011, her master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology in 2013 and is currently working towards her master's degree in business administration.
