The University of Tulsa women's volleyball team recorded a come-from-behind victory over FairleighDickinson University, 3-1 (12-15, 15-0, 15-7, 15-9) on the neutral court of the Spiro Sports Center on the campus of Wagner College.
Tulsa, who lost the first game 15-12, was led by Ashley Frogge, who blasted a match-high 16 kills. Kara Hidinger and Tammy Leuer each recorded 11 kills for the hurricane who improved to 14-3 overall. Senior Kristien Van Lierop also recorded a team-high 10 digs for TU.
Senior setter Shannon Smith and junior LeeAnn McLaughlin set 28 and 15 assists, repectively for the Golden Hurricane, as well.
FDU received nine kills from junior Trisha Nunnenkamp, while Randi Kluemper tallied 15 digs for the Lady Knights to go along with Kim Payne's 11 digs. FDU falls to 6-8 overall on the season.
