The University of Tulsa women's rowing team began their fall season at the Quad Cities Rowing Classic in Moline, Illinois, on October 7. The regatta's competition consisted of Tulsa and other university and club teams from the area. The length of the race was 2.5 miles with a 500-meter, 180-degree turn halfway through the race.
The Hurricane finished first in the Varsity-4 and Varsity-8 races. The Varsity-4 boat finished with a time of 17:44, while the Varsity-8 clocked in at 15:34.
The novice races were run with one 4 crew and two 8 crew boats. The Novice-4 boat had a time of 20:51 and finished third. The two Novice-8 boats finished first and third, respectively. The times for the Novice-8 boats were 17:48 and 19:58.
The fall season races are considered head races. Each squad races against the clock and not against a competitor. The teams get their race results once all competitors have raced and they are officially posted.
