
Golden Hurricane Set to Compete at Big 12 Rowing Championship on Sunday

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Golden Hurricane rowing team is ready to put it all together at the Big 12 Rowing Championship, set to be held at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla., this Sunday, May 17. The event kicks off at 8 a.m. CT beginning with the 3v8+ race.
The full regatta will stream on ESPN+.
Tulsa will put forth four boats on Sunday, including its first varsity eight (1v8+), second varsity eight (2v8+), third varsity eight (3v8+) and first varsity four (1v4+). Competing against TU on the water will be UCF, Kansas, Kansas State, West Virginia and Old Dominion. UCF is the No. 11-ranked squad in the nation entering Sunday's action.
This will be the Golden Hurricane's second trip to Nathan Benderson Park after racing there in the Sarasota 2K back in March.
Last year, in Tulsa's first season in the Big 12 as an affiliate member, TU earned a runner-up finish and garnered five individual All-Conference awards. UCF swept every race last season and will try to defend their conference title on Sunday.
