Albuquerque, NM - TU Women Place Second at Dick McGuire Invitational Albuquerque, NM -- The Tulsa women's golf team duplicated its second-place performance from the first tournament of the year with a runner-up finish at the Comcast/Dick McGuire Invitational on Saturday.

The Hurricane scored rounds of 301-291-305 for a 54-hole total of 897. Tulsa finished five strokes behind defending national champion and the nation's top-ranked Arizona Wildcats. Arizona carded a 302 today for an 892 total at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Pepperdine finished in third place with a 904 total, followed by New Mexico (913), Oklahoma (915), Baylor (917), Colorado State (919), Texas A&M (926), UCLA (927) and TCU (928) to round out the top-10 teams.

For the Hurricane, the trio of junior two-time All-American Stacy Prammanasudh, freshman Suzie Fisher and junior Dani Mallon tied for ninth place with 54-hole totals of six-over 225. Mallon scored a 75 today, followed by Fisher's 78 and Prammanasudh's 79. Freshman Julie Tvede turned in the best round for the Hurricane today with her second straight 73, while sophomore Maiko Senda's 233 total tied with Tvede for 36th place.

Arizona's Lorena Ochoa led from start to finish and posted a seven-under par 212 for a seven-stroke victory over individual runner-up and teammate Cristina Baena.

Tulsa is in action next at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Seattle Washington, October 9-11.
