Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball team added a new assistant coach as announced by head coach Matt Sonnichsen. Esther Langley joins the coaching staff immediately, replacing Cory Williams who resigned at the beginning of the season.

A three-time academic All-WAC selection at Colorado State, Langley helped lead the Rams to four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances as a player. She also earned second-team All-WAC honors as a senior. The middle blocker also earned a spot on the GTE Academic All-Region squad twice.

Off the floor, Langley was just as active. With a degree in business and a minor in Spanish, she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Langley was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee all four years at CSU.

She comes to TU after taking a private sector job in Tulsa for the Tax and Accounting Software Corporation. While in Tulsa, she has also served as the assistant coach for Cacia Hall Preparatory School and a coach for the Hurricane Juniors Volleyball Club.

While at CSU, Langley assisted with the CSU volleyball camp during the summer for three years.

The native of Windsor, Colo., was an all-state volleyball player at Windsor High School as a senior. She also started on a state championship basketball team and was a member of the track team. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she was salutatorian of her graduating class.

"Esther is going to be a big asset for our team next season," said Sonnichsen. "She comes from a winning collegiate program and her experience as a middle blocker will help in the development of our young players."
