Volleyball Team Defeat Boise State in WAC Home Opener

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball team broke a four-match losing streak against Boise State in a four-game victory (30-28, 30-28, 28-30, 30-27) at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Thursday night. The win was TU's first Western Athletic Conference victory of the season.
Four Golden Hurricane players recorded double-digits in kills, led by freshman Dana Weddle with 20 kills. She also added 11 digs and four blocks. Fellow freshman Kristin Bailey recorded 19 kills and 17 digs. A third freshman, Lindsay Eaves also recorded 10 kills, as setter Vanessa Thon addes 54 assists and 17 digs. Senior Ashley Frogge' contributed 11 kills as well.
Tulsa (4-6, 1-3 WAC) will host No. 12 Hawai'i on Saturday night at 7 p.m., in the Reynolds Center. Anyone with a ticket from TU's Homecoming football game on Saturday afternoon will receive free admission to volleyball match, as well. The Hurricane will conclude the weekend with a Sunday matinee with a 2 p.m. match against UMKC in the Reynolds Center.
