Volleyball Squad Ends Season In Quarterfinals of WAC Tournament

San Jose, Calif. - The University of Tulsa volleyball squad ended its season in the second round of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament in San Jose, Calif. The No. 11th ranked Wahine of Hawai'i defeated Tulsa, 3-0 (30-18, 30-14, 30-17), in the quarterfinal match-up on Friday.
Freshman Kristin Baily led the Golden Hurricane with eight kills and eight digs, while fellow freshman Dana Weddle recorded seven kills and seven digs. Setter Vanessa Thon contributed 22 assists.
WAC Player of the Year, Kim Willoughby, led the way for Hawai'i with 23 kills, along with nine digs, two assists, two solo blocks and a service ace.
The Wahine improve to 24-4 on the season and will face Nevada in the semi-finals on Saturday. Tulsa ends the season 9-15.
