Tulsa Women in Sixth Place Tie At NCAA Fall Preview

Sophomore Suzie Fisher is in sixth place at the NCAA Fall Preview after first round action.

Auburn, Washington - The University of Tulsa women's golf team scored a first round 301 and is in a three-way tie for sixth place at the NCAA Fall Preview in Auburn, Washington.

Tennessee holds the top-spot after posting a five-over par 293 at the Washington National Golf Club on Monday. Ohio State is one stroke back and in second place after shooting 294. Rounding out the top-five teams is Southern California, Arizona State and Auburn. The Hurricane is tied for sixth place with the nation's top-ranked Duke Blue Devils and Michigan State.

Individually for the Hurricane, sophomore Suzie Fisher carded an even-par 72 for sixth place, while senior three-time All-American Stacy Prammanasudh is in a 12th place tie after scoring a first round 73. Junior Maiko Senda shot a round of 77 for 53rd place, while senior Dani Mallon and sophomore Julie Tvede each carded rounds of 79 and are sitting in 69th place in the field of 114 participants.

Duke's Virada Nirapathpongporn and Tennessee's Young-A Yang are tied for first-place after scoring rounds of two-under par 70, while there is a three-way tie for third-place in the individual race.

Competition will resume on Tuesday with 18 holes, and conclude Wednesday with the final 18 holes.
