TU Men's, Women's Tennis Teams Split Doubleheader

Tulsa, Oklahoma - In a tennis doubleheader at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center at The University of Tulsa, TU's 48th-ranked women's tennis team posted a 7-0 shutout win over Colorado, while the Golden Hurricane men had its six-match win streak snapped with a 5-2 loss to Tulane.
In the first match of the day, the Tulsa women's team upped its overall record to 3-0 this season with a complete sweep of Big 12 Conference member Colorado. The Golden Hurricane captured the doubles point with wins at all three doubles positions. The Tulsa tandem of senior Jana Sedivec and junior Allicia Pillay improved to 6-0 this season with their, 8-2 win over CU's Dominique Lemperle and Sarah Burrows, 8-2.
In singles, the Golden Hurricane made quick work of the Buffaloes, sweeping all six singles contests and posting its second shutout of the season.
On the men's side, Tulane's 22nd-ranked duo of Michael Kogan and Victor Romero captured an 8-4 win over TU's 26th-ranked tandem of seniors Dane McGregor and Shri Sudhkara at the top doubles slot. The Green Wave also posted wins at the No. 2 and 3 doubles positions.
In singles, Tulane sealed the match with victories at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 positions. TU's Sudhakara and sophomore Alejandro Tejerina won their matches at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots, but its too little, too late. Tulane also won the No. 3 singles match for a final of 5-2.
