Tulsa, Okla. - The rowing dual between the University of Tulsa and SMU set for tomorrow morning has been postponed due to lack of water in Zink Lake. The Hurricane and Mustangs were scheduled to start the first of three races at 10 a.m. The dual has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 13 for the same time at the same location.
Although the racing has been called off for the time being, the other festivities planned for the day are still scheduled. At approximately 11:45 a.m., Tulsa will dedicate two boats. The first boat, the "Lawless", will be named for University President Dr. Bob Lawless. The second boat, "Stone", will be for University benefactor Sam Stone. The Parent Day activities and Boathouse Exhibition are also still planned to begin at 10 a.m. on tomorrow morning.
Driving directions to the boathouse from midtown: Travel across the 21st Street bridge. Turn right at the first light onto S. Jackson Ave. Turn right into Riverfront Park, parking is available in the park and overflow parking is available in the lot across Jackson Ave.
