Volleyball Announces Spring Exhibition Schedule

Sophomore Dana Weddle and the Golden Hurricane look to get a jump start on the 2003 season, by playing in three spring tournaments.

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball team will play in three tournaments, in addition to a match with Kansas, this spring as announced by Head Coach Matt Sonnichsen. The Golden Hurricane is coming off a 20-13 record in 2002.

Tulsa will open its spring exhibition season on March 7 by traveling to Lawrence, Kan., to face the Jayhawks in a single match. On March 29, TU will host North Texas, TCU and Frank Phillips College for a four-team tournament.

In April, the Hurricane will travel to the Dallas Metroplex on consecutive weekends. On April 5, Tulsa will play in the SMU Spring Tournament. The following Saturday, the Hurricane will travel to Ft. Worth to take part in the TCU Spring Tournament.
