WAC Announces Volleyball All-Academic Honors

Tulsa, Okla. - The 2002 academic All-Western Athletic Conference volleyball team was announced by the conference office. Four student-athletes, of the 31 named to the team, were from The University of Tulsa, tying Rice, SMU and Hawaii for the most players named to the team.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 grade point average and have participated in fifty percent or more of the team's contests.
Seniors Tammy Leuer and Amber Martin were named to the Academic all-WAC Honor Roll for the third time, earning spots their sophomore and junior years. They were also named to the WAC All-Academic Freshmen team, while sophomores Kristin Bailey and Vanessa Thon earned their first WAC All-Academic honors.
