Tulsa, Okla. - Six University of Tulsa men's and women's tennis players garnered 2003 Western Athletic Conference Singles and Doubles Teams accolades following a vote by the league's head coaches.

The TU men's team completed the season with a 12-13 overall record, while the women posted a 15-11 mark and finished as the WAC runner-up. Now both teams must wait until April 30th for the announcement of the NCAA men's and women's field of 64 teams.

On the women's team, Aleksandra Durska and Alicia Pillay were named to the all-WAC singles and doubles first team, while Daniela Muscolino obtained an all-conference second-team singles selection.

Durska, who acquired her fourth all-WAC singles selection and second all-WAC doubles appearance, completed the regular season with a 28-9 singles record and a 23-12 doubles mark with Pillay. The duo was ranked as high as 30th nationally, but finished the regular season as the 57th-ranked doubles tandem. Durska also notched the top spot on Tulsa's career singles and doubles list with a 115 and 83 wins, respectively.

A two time selection to both teams, Pillay led the team in singles wins, boasting a 31-7 record on the season, tying her last season's wins mark. Pillay also spent the spring season as one of the nation's top-30 ranked players, as she was ranked as high as No. 8, but fell to No. 26 in the last four weeks of the regular season.

Muscolino, a freshman from Buenes Aires, Argentina, collected her first all-conference honor as she was named to the all-WAC singles second-team. She posted a 21-9 mark her first year as a Golden Hurricane and notched an 11-match win streak, the longest for a Tulsa women's tennis player this season.

In men's action, Alejandro Tejerina, Ryan Livesay and Dustin Taylor picked up all-conference honors for the Golden Hurricane.

Tejerina acquired his first all-WAC accolade as he was named to the all-conference singles first-team. He posted a 23-13 singles mark and spent the past 33 weeks as the top-ranked singles player for the Golden Hurricane men's team. His ranking ranged from No. 38 to No. 97, but is currently the No. 57 ranked player in the nation.

Taylor and Livesay also collected their first all-WAC honors, as they were named to the second-team all-conference singles and doubles teams. Taylor boasts a 19-13 singles record and an 8-4 record against ranked opponents. He entered the national polls on February 26th as the 70th-ranked player in the nation, but fell to No. 82 in this week's polls.

Livesay owns a 17-17 singles record, including a 12-10 dual mark and has faced 12 ranked opponents this year. He joined Tejerina and Taylor in the national polls on April 23rd as the No. 121 ranked player.

As a doubles tandem, Taylor and Livesay posted a 20-15 doubles mark and faced eight opponents ranked in the top-50. The duo entered the rankings as the 20th-ranked tandem, but has since then fallen out of the ITA polls.
