TU Finishes Play at Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa men's tennis team finished up competition at the Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, losing its final three matches.
In quarterfinals singles competition, No. 8 seeded Federico Soriano dropped his match to last year's tournament Champion, Adrians Zguns (Arkansas), 6-4, 7-5. Diego Camacho went three sets with Rohan Gajjar (Arkansas), but fell to Gajjar 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
In the doubles draw, Aleksander Charpantidis and Achim Roth lost their semifinals match to Imraan Ismail and Matt Roberts (Arkansas), 8-5.
The Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships will conclude at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18 with the final matches in singles and doubles. The Golden Hurricane will return to action October 30 in the ITA team qualifying tournament.
