Tulsa Women Drop Match at ITA Central Regional Playoffs

Kindsay Grimes and doubles partner Timberly Greenly won the only match for the Hurricane against New Mexico.

Albuquerque, NM - The Tulsa women's tennis team dropped a 6-0 decision against the New Mexico State Lobos in the semifinals of the ITA Central Regional Team playoff at the Lobo Tennis Club.

Tulsa captued one win in doubles competition as Kindsay Grimes and Timberly Greenly defeated Jennifer Ryba and Nora Quintal, but the Hurricane still lost the doubles point as UNM captured wins in the other two matches.

Tulsa's Daniela Muscolino, ranked 29th nationally, was upset by 41st -ranked Maja Kovacek. The match went into three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Tulsa's Lisette Pereira and Carla Zabaleta also took their matches to three sets before losing
