TU Women's Tennis Team Overcomes Kansas, 5-2

Tulsa, Okla. - The 49th-ranked Tulsa women's tennis team overcame 75th-ranked Kansas, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon in the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on The University of Tulsa campus.

Delport recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ashley Filberth in the No. 5 slot to begin singles competition. Somers also posted a quick, 6-1, 6-1, mark in the No. 3 position, while Muscolino tallied a 6-2, 6-3 win in the No. 1 slot to secure the dual victory for the Golden Hurricane.
TU's Majauskaite, however, fell 6-3, 6-2, in the No. 2 position, as Timberly Greenly dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision in the No. 4 slot. Tiffany Smith recorded a 7-6, 2-6, 10-7 comeback victory in the No. 6 position.
