TU Women's Tennis Team Dominated SMS, 6-1

Tulsa, Okla. - The 50th-ranked Tulsa women's tennis team dominated Southwest Missouri State, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon in Colombia, Missouri. The Golden Hurricane boasts a 4-1 record on the season.

The Golden Hurricane's Muscolino earned a 6-2, 6-3 win over Stanojevic in the No. 1 slot, while Majauskaite notched a 7-5, 6-4 victory in the No. 2 position. Somers also posted a win for TU in the No. 3 slot to round out the top half of the lineup.
Tiffany Smith and Pereira recorded singles victories in the bottom half of the lineup, but did not earn their wins easily. Smith netted a 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 decision in the No. 4 position, while Pereira notched a 2-6, 6-2, 10-7 mark in the No. 5 slot. Grimes, however, dropped her match at the No. 6 position, 6-4, 4-6, 10-3.
