TU Men's Tennis Team Falls, 5-2, to 29th-Ranked Oklahoma State

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa's 60th-ranked men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to 29th-ranked Oklahoma State on Wednesday evening in the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on The University of Tulsa campus.

Tulsa's Murray netted a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win in the No. 5 slot to begin singles action, but the Golden Hurricane's 100th-ranked Taylor wasn't able to overcome 29th-ranked Mark van Elden in the No. 1 position, falling 6-4, 7-5. OSU's Tomas Bohunicky recorded a 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 mark over Shunsuke Shimizu in the No. 3 slot.
The Cowboys' Yevgen Bondarchuk tallied a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 upset victory over 102nd-ranked Tejerina in the No. 2 position, and Boris Kuharic chalked up a 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 win in the No. 4 slot. Federico Soriano captured a 7-6, 3-6, 7-6 victory in the No. 6 position.
The TU men's tennis team will return to action this Saturday, taking on Central Oklahoma beginning at 10:00 a.m., and Texas Southern beginning at 4:00 p.m. Both matches will take place at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
