TU Men's Tennis Team Dominates Lamar, 7-0

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa's 49th-ranked men's tennis team dominated Lamar, 7-0, on Saturday evening at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on The University of Tulsa campus.
TU's (10-9) Alejandro Tejerina and Dustin Taylor posted an 8-4 mark over Christian Oliver and Ignacio Melus in the No. 1 position, as 45th-ranked doubles tandem of Aleksander Charpantidis and Tom Murray notched an 8-4 win in the No. 2 slot. Diego Camacho and Shunsuke Shimizu netted an 8-3 victory in the No. 3 position.
In singles action, Charpantidis recorded a quick 6-2, 6-1 decision in the No. 2 slot, while Olof Sjolund tallied a 6-3, 6-1 mark in the No. 5 position. Shimizu chalked up a 6-2, 6-3 win in the No. 3 slot, overcoming Emilio Kirby to earn the winning point for the Golden Hurricane.
Tulsa's 89th-ranked Tejerina posted a 6-3, 6-4 decision in the No. 1 position, as Camacho netted a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win in the No. 6 slot. Murray recorded a come-from-behind victory with his 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 win in the No. 4 position.
