Fresno State Defeats Tulsa in WAC Volleyball Action

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa dropped its second conference match of the season on Saturday, as Fresno State defeated the Hurricane 3-1 (30-23, 26-30, 30-26, 30-26) at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Sophomore Joyce Silva led TU with 17 kills, while senior Lindsay Eaves and freshman Kassiana Urnau added 16 and 11 kills, respectively.
Fresno State used 30 kills from Kristen Fenton and 26 kills from Christianna Reneau to squash any Tulsa momentum. The Bulldogs also enjoyed a 76-62 advantage in team kills. Both Fenton and Reneau also posted double-doubles with 19 and 16 digs apiece.
Junior Evyn Bandy posted a match-high 30 digs for the Hurricane, will Urnau recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 21 digs. Senior Vanessa Thon also posted a double-double with 53 assists and 15 digs.
