The singles competition was just as close as the doubles. Freshman Will Gray tied up the duel as he defeated Christen Claudio 6-2, 7-6 (4). Arizona's #58-ranked Roger Matalonga gave the Wildcats the edge by dropping Achim Roth, 6-3, 6-4.

After a tough first set, Ricardo Soriano posted a 7-6(4), 6-3 win over Bruno Alcala, to give tie the duel match at 2-2. Arizona took the lead again as Colin O'Grady beat Aleksander Charpantidis in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. The duel came down to the final match, played in the No. 5 ladder position. Diego Camacho took an early 5-2 lead in the first set, but ended up dropping the first set and losing the second, 7-5, 6-3, to Bruno Labrosse. Arizona wins the duel, 4-3.
