TU Women's Tennis Team Falls to #42 LSU

Baton Rouge, La. - The No. 61-ranked University of Tulsa women's tennis team lost to #42 LSU, 6-1, in Baton Rouge, La., Saturday. The Golden Hurricane is now 5-4 on the season.
In singles competition, #54-ranked Daniela Muscolino posted the only TU win, as she defeated Amanda Mang in three sets, 6-4, 6-7, 13-10. Lisette Pereira fell to Lauren Seaman, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4. Santie Delport lost to Staten Spencer, 6-3, 6-2.
LSU won the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. Lauren Seaman and Tiffany Tucker, 9-7, upset TU's No. 57-ranked duo of Daniela Muscolino and Carla Zabaleta.
The Golden Hurricane women's tennis team will travel to New Orleans to face Tulane, Sunday February 20, 2005.
