Tulsa Women Golfers Place Sixth at Lady Puerto Rico Classic

Senior Lee-Anne Pace placed ninth at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic for her third top-15 performance of the season.

San Juan, Puerto Rico - The Tulsa women's golf team opened the spring season with a sixth-place performance at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Tulsa finished 54-hole tournament with a 920 total at the par-72 Dorado Del Mar Country Club.

Tulsa carded a final round 306 on Wednesday. The top-five team spots were taken up by Auburn (888), TCU (909), Florida (910), Wake Forest (912) and Georgia (913).

Tulsa senior Lee-Anne Pace (Cape Town, South Africa) finished in ninth place overall as she completed the tournament with a round of 76 on Tuesday for a 225 total. A pair of freshmen placed next for the Hurricane, as Michaela Cavener (Ponca City, Okla.) turned in her best collegiate performance with a 15th-place finish. She carded a final round 227, while fellow newcomer Leisl Hasbrouck (Kingwood, Texas) finished in 25th place with a 231 total.

Junior Cas Bridge (Ferndale, South Africa) and freshman Polly Travica (NSW, Australia) round out the Tulsa roster. Bridge is in 51st place overall with a 161 total after today's round of 79, while Travica had her best round of the tournament with a 77 today for a 245 total to place 58th.

Individually, Auburn's Diana Ramage finished in first-place with an even-par score of 216.

Tulsa is in action next at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, March 11-13, in Austin, Texas.
