TU Women's Tennis Team Closes Out Season at Home

Tulsa, Okla. - The No. 72-ranked University of Tulsa women's tennis team have won three straight matches and will try and end the regular season on a high note as they face Houston and No. 48 Virginia Commonwealth, April 9 and 10, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Golden Hurricane will take on future Conference USA foe, Houston, at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 9. The Cougars are 12-7 this season.
On Sunday, Tulsa will close out the regular season against No. 48-ranked Virginia Commonwealth, at 12 noon. The Rams are 12-6 this season and have one ranked singles player, #74 Marianna Yuferova, and one ranked doubles team, #16 Yuferova and Olga Borisova.
TU will say good-bye to senior Lisette Pereira on Sunday as she plays in her final regular season match in the Blue and Gold. Pereira is 32-32 in singles and 27-30 in doubles in her two seasons with TU. "Lisette has been a leader of this team this year. Her leadership, heart and personality will be hard to replace," says Head Coach Paige McMurray.
The Hurricane is currently 10-10 on the season, 8-4 on their home court, and junior Daniela Muscolino is currently ranked #77.
Tulsa plays in the WAC Tournament April 21-24, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
