2005 WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship Concludes Saturday

The 2005 Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship continued Friday from the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium in Tulsa, Okla. With weather on the horizon for most of the evening, it only claimed one event. The men's 10,000 meters, the final event on Friday, was postponed due to lightning and will be run at 8:30 a.m. (CT) on Saturday. On the women's side, Rice has the early lead with 46 points. Following close behind is Louisiana Tech with 42. Fresno State has a comanding lead on the men's field heading into the final day of competition, posting 82.50 points to Rice's 45.50 over three days. Saturday will be moving day for many of the teams as all events are finals.

The competition continues Saturday with the women's hammer throw at 2:00 p.m. and all final running events starting at 6:30 p.m. with the 4x100 relay.
