Muscolino Loses in First Round at NCAA Tournament

Athens, Ga. - In her second straight NCAA tournament, University of Tulsa junior Daniela Muscolino lost in the first round of the 2005 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships to Ashley Bentley of Alabama, 7-5, 6-3. The tournament is being played at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.
"We are very proud of Dani for making it to the NCAA tournament for the second straight year," said Head Coach Paige McMurray. "While the loss is disappointing, we have to look forward to her senior season and try and get her back to the NCAA tournament."
Muscolino, a native or Buenos Aires, Argentina, finished the season with a 23-13 singles record, She has 68 career singles wins, giving her sole possession of fifth place on the school's all-time wins list.
