Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball team enacted some revenge Friday night. TU won the battle of the TUs with a 3-0 (34-32, 30-20, 30-23) victory over Tulane before a crowd of 207 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Friday night. The win not only keeps the Golden Hurricane on top of the Conference USA standings at 21-5 (8-2 C-USA), it also makes up for a loss two weeks ago in New Orleans. Tulane falls to 10-8 (6-3 C-USA) on the year.
Three Golden Hurricane players posted double-digits in kills, led by junior Kassiana Urnau with 15 kills. Fellow junior Fabiola Nepomuceno posted her seventh consecutive double-figure performance with 13 kills, while senior Germana Hilario added 11 kills.
Tulsa will host UTEP at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at the Reynolds Center.
