Tulsa, Okla. - Junior Julia Silva (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) earned another post-season honor on Wednesday as the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its all-region teams. After helping lead TU to its first conference championship and winning the Conference USA Setter of the Year Award, Silva was named to the AVCA All-Midwest Team for the second consecutive year.

In addition to three triple-doubles on the year, Silva finished with 19 double-doubles including eight straight to end the season. Defensively, Silva posted six blocks in two matches this season, against Tulane (10/8) and UTEP (10/22).

By earning a spot on the all-region squad, Silva is also eligible for the All-America status as well. She earned Honorable Mention last season.
