TU Tennis Teams to Host Four Duels this Saturday

The Golden Hurricane's 73rd-ranked women's tennis team (4-0) will host Oral Roberts (0-2) beginning at 9:00 a.m. and Creighton (0-0) at 3:00 p.m.

Tulsa, Okla. - The Tulsa women's and men's tennis teams will host four duels on Saturday, February 4th at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the TU campus. The Golden Hurricane's 73rd-ranked women's tennis team (4-0) will host Oral Roberts (0-2) beginning at 9:00 a.m. and Creighton (0-0) at 3:00 p.m., while the 50th-ranked men's tennis team (3-1) will host Creighton (0-0) and 75th-ranked Memphis (1-0) at 12 noon and 6:00 p.m., respectively. There is no charge for admission.

The Golden Hurricane's 39th-ranked Ricardo Soriano, 73rd-ranked Diego Camacho and 45th-ranked doubles tandem of Will Gray and Federico Soriano will lead the TU men this weekend. The Tulsa duo will look to upset Memphis' eighth-ranked Alex Jago and James Spence.

Last season, the women posted a 7-0 victory over the Golden Eagles, but TU hasn't faced the Bluejays since Feb. 16, 1997. In that match up, the Golden Hurricane registered a 9-0 win. On the men's side, Tulsa posted a 7-0 victory over Creighton, and a 6-1 win over Memphis last year.
