Tulsa Women's Tennis Team Surpasses Creighton, 7-0

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa 73rd-ranked women's tennis team surpassed Creighton, 7-0, on Saturday morning at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the TU campus. The Golden Hurricane (5-0) will take on cross-town rival Oral Roberts at 3:00 p.m. today.
Tulsa's top doubles tandem, Santie Delport and Thalia Diaz-Barriga, netted an 8-2 win over the Bluejays' Jennifer Burge and Katie Chiu. The Golden Hurricane duo own an 8-3 mark this year, including a 4-1 record in duel play. TU's Kindsay Grimes and Julie Westfall registered an 8-5 victory in the No. 2 position, as Agostina Santoro and Tiffany Smith posted an 8-1 mark in the No. 3 slot.
In singles action, all six TU women recorded a victory in their respective match in straight sets, as the Golden Hurricane earned wins in 72 of 87 singles games played. Delport, Diaz-Barriga and Santoro have each tallied 5-0 marks in duel play this season.
