Tulsa Rowers Head to SIRA Championships

The Golden Hurricane competes at the SIRA Championships this weekend.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's rowing team makes its second trip in less than a month to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to participate in the 39th Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championships this Friday and Saturday, April 14-15 at Melton Hill Lake.

Three weeks ago, the Hurricane made its first of three trips this spring to Oak Ridge for a pair of preseason scrimmages against New Hampshire and Creighton. TU returns to the "Volunteer State" May 13-14 to conclude its spring campaign in the Aramark Central/South Regional Championships at Melton Hill Lake.

Last season at the SIRA Championships, posted a first place finish in the Novice 4+ heat and finished sixth in the finals.
