Sonnichsen Resigns Post as Tulsa Volleyball Coach

Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa Head Volleyball Coach Matt Sonnichsen resigned his position today, announced TU's Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham.
Sonnichsen spent eight years at Tulsa and compiled a 121-110 career record at the school. He had four winning seasons including three campaigns with 20+ wins. The 2005 season was his best at Tulsa, leading the Hurricane to a 23-7 record and third-place in Conference USA.
Sonnichsen came to Tulsa in March 1998 after two years as an assistant coach at the University of Iowa.
Tulsa volleyball completed its 30th season of existence in the fall, and its first year as a member of Conference USA.
