Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's rowing team will compete this Saturday, October 13 at the Head of the Oklahoma Regatta in Oklahoma City, Okla. Races begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue throughout the day, while the OG&E NightSprints will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Golden Hurricane will join three teams that competed in the NCAA Championships last season, UCF, UCLA and Stanford, as well as regional teams in the likes of Texas, SMU, Creighton and host Oklahoma City University in the competition.
"This is a great regatta for us," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "There is a strong field in every event and we will get the opportunity to compete against some teams we don't see all that often. It is also a great way to prepare us for the Head of the Charles in two weeks."
The Golden Hurricane will compete in the Collegiate Pair, Collegiate Double, Collegiate Novice 4+, Collegiate Lightweight 4+, Collegiate 4+ and Collegiate 8+.
