Volleyball Headed to Little Apple for NCAA Tournament

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball squad will continue its season of firsts with its first ever appearence in the NCAA Tournament with a first round match against Kansas State on Friday, Nov. 29. The ninth-seeded Wildcats will be the host for the first and second rounds. Oregon and Missouri State will also participate in the Manhattan Regional.
Tulsa (27-8) earned an automatic bid by winning the Conference USA Championship. Kansas State were ranked 12th-nationally in the last AVCA poll, before falling the No. 3 Texas in the regular-season finale. Oregon posted a 20-10 regular-season record, including a 9-9 record in the Pac 10. Missouri State recorded a 25-7 record in 2007 with a semi-final appearence in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
The Ducks and Bears will play at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Hurricane and Wildcats at approximately 7:30 p.m.
