Tulsa, Oklahoma - Larrissa Williams tallied 19 points and 10 rebounds for Tulsa in a 62-49 victory over Stephen F. Austin on Saturday afternoon at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The Golden Hurricane concluded the non-conference season with a 4-9 overall mark, while SFA fell to 3-8.
Williams led TU in both points and rebounds for her 10th career double-double and seventh of the season. She also registered four assists, three blocks and a steal in the contest. Chanel Johnson and Kara Vaughan notched double-digit points with 14 and 12, respectively.
SFA earned a game-best five-point lead (10-5) at the 13:01 mark, but the Golden Hurricane fought back to tie the game 12-12 with a little under nine minutes to play and went on a 12-6 run to go into the break with a 24-18 advantage. Tulsa continued to inch ahead in the second-half to a 14-point lead at the 3:10 mark.
The Ladyjacks were led by Jordan Ford and Nikki Carr who posted 13 points apiece, while Carr and Antoinette Davis each recorded eight rebounds.
The Golden Hurricane returns to action on Saturday, January 5th against Conference USA rival SMU. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
