Golden Hurricane Get Back on Track with 4-0 Win

Tulsa, ranked No. 49 in the nation, took the early 1-0 by sweeping the doubles point. Kindsay Grimes and Carla Zabaleta grabbed an 8-2 win over Pamela Martinez and Manijee Ashrafi, while Thalia Diaz-Barriga and Jie Zeng clinched the point with an 8-5 defeat of Manami Kuroda and Maria Gutierrez. Santi Delport and Marta Marcinkowska completed the sweep with an 8-5 win over Kaltrina Harbuzi and Tawnya Roberts.
Tulsa continued its dominance in singles play, taking a 2-0 lead on the strength of a 6-1, 6-0 win by Zabaleta over Roberts in the two position.
Eleonora Kuruc gave TU a 3-0 lead with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Kuroda, and Delport clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-1 win at the one position over Harbuzi.
Tulsa will be back in action on February 25 when it hosts No. 45 SMU at 1 p.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
