Baton Rouge, La. - The University of Tulsa's women's tennis team fell to 13-3 on the season after suffering a 6-1 loss to LSU on Friday afternoon in Baton Rouge, La.
TU's Thalia Diaz-Barriga was the only Hurricane to pick up a win as Nicole Kantor retired after the second set with the score 2-6, 6-4.
Tulsa dropped the doubles point with Diaz-Barriga and Jie Zeng suffering an 8-1 loss at the one position and Kindsay Grimes and Carla Zabaleta falling 8-5 at the three spot.
With Tulsa trailing 1-0, things did not get much easier in the singles portion.
With the exception of Diaz-Barriga, every Hurricane dropped their first set, and only Marta Marcinkowska was able to reach a third set.
Tulsa will next face Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Lafayette, La.
