Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa women's rowing team will conclude the season on Friday-Saturday, May 11-12 at the Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pa.
"This year's Dad Vail is the most even in terms of speed that I have seen," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "Because of the rain we haven't had the practice time that we would have liked, but the team is confident and rowing well. We are ready to take on some of the best teams in the country and show them what we can do."
The Dad Vail Regatta, the largest collegiate regatta in the United States, features over 100 colleges and universities from the U.S. and Canada. TU will face tough competition in the likes of Bucknell, Colgate, Fordham, Purdue, Rhode Island, St. Joseph's, Villanova and West Virginia.
The Golden Hurricane is slated to compete in the Varsity 2-, Novice 8+, Varsity 8+ and 2nd Varsity 8+.
