Tulsa Women's Tennis Dominates Seminole State, 7-0

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's women's tennis team defeated Seminole State 7-0 in its second match on Saturday, after defeating no. 64-ranked Loyola Marymount.
The Golden Hurricane lost only two games the entire match, one in both singles and doubles. TU's top team of Rebecca Row and Carla Zabaleta defeated Sara Anic and Cassandra-Leigh Kleber, 8-1. Tulsa's no. 2 duo of Alexandra Kichoutkin and Jie Zeng beat Nilsa Ramirez and Daniela Stevenson, 8-0. The third pair of Thalia Diaz-Barriga and Jenna Webster defeated Kate Arnold and Brooke Williams, 8-0.
Tulsa continued its domination. Sophomore Zeng had her second match of 6-0, 6-0 on the day defeating Arnold. She leads the team with three victories. Kichoutkin, who also has three wins, beat Anic, 6-0, 6-1. Row and Zabaleta moved to 2-0; Row beat Stevenson 6-0, 6-0 and Zabaleta defeated Ramaiez 6-0, 6-0. Santoro and Diaz-Barriga also won 6-0, 6-0; beating Morgan Whitmire and Kleber, respectively.
Later today TU will play Seminole State. Next weekend Tulsa will face against Mississippi on Friday, January 25 and LSU on Sunday, January 27.
