Little Rock, Arkansas - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team dropped a 63-46 decision to UALR on Tuesday night at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. TU fell to 3-5 on the season, while the Trojans moved to 7-1.

Chanel Johnson led TU with nine points, while Kara Vaughan and Tatum Beer added eight points apiece. Tiffani Couisnard pulled down a team-leading six rebounds and two steals, but fouled out with over 10 minutes remaining in the contest, and Vaughan turned in three assists.

UALR jumped out to a 7-0 lead with just over a minute ticked off the clock, but Tulsa battled back and pulled to within two, 20-18, at the 5:40 mark. The Trojans put together a run and took a first-half high, 11-point advantage into the break, 35-24.

The Golden Hurricane pulled to within nine twice in the second half, but the Trojans kept battling and had a game-high 25-point lead with 9:02 on the clock.

Tulsa out-rebounded UALR, 36-26, shot 36-percent from the field and 65-percent from the free throw line.

UALR was led by Kim Sitzmann with 20 points, while Chastity Reed and Anshel Cooper posted 11 points. Reed also had a team-best six rebounds.

The Golden Hurricane will take 12 days off before returning to action against sixth-ranked Oklahoma on Sunday, Dec. 21st at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla.
