Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's rowing team is set to compete at the Knecht Cup this Saturday-Sunday, April 12-13 on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J. The Golden Hurricane is slated to race in the Novice 4+, Lightweight 4+, Varsity 4+, Varsity 8+ and 2nd Varsity 8+.

This year's regatta features over 50 schools from across the nation, including schools from the Atlantic Coast, Atlantic 10, Big East and Mid-American Conference, as well as many others.

"This is one of the largest mid-season regattas, and a big test for our rowers," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "It has been a tough week for practice because of flooding on the river, but the team is really excited and ready to race against some of the best teams in the nation."

Last season, TU won the Novice 4+ event, while the 2nd Varsity 8+ earned the bronze medal and the Varsity 8+ finished in sixth place.
