Three Tulsa Women Earn C-USA Tennis Honors

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's women's tennis team (21-5) had a strong showing in the Conference USA post-season awards leading the conference with six selections. The Golden Hurricane women placed three individuals on the All-C-USA teams as well as taking three of the six specialty awards.
Tulsa Head Coach Dean Orford was named the C-USA Coach of the Year for the second straight season after leading his squad to a 21-5 record and the team's second consecutive conference title.
Freshman Alexandra Kichoutkin was named C-USA Outstanding Singles Player of the Championship and the league's Freshman of the Year, while also garnering first-team all-conference recognition.
Junior Thalia Diaz-Barriga was also named first team All-C-USA, while sophomore Rebecca Row was named to the All-C-USA third team.
Tulsa will next be in action when they travel to Waco, Texas to face No. 26 TCU on Friday, May 9 at 3 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championship.
