Tulsa's Marita Engzelius was named C-USA golfer of the week

Irving, Texas - University of Tulsa freshman golfer Marita Engzelius was named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week today, it was announced by the league office.

Engzelius finished in a tie for third place at the Topy Cup in Tanagura, Japan. The international event consisted of 30 golfers representing teams from the United States and Japan. Engzelius carded rounds of 70-70-74 for a two-under par total of 214 in her debut tournament as a collegian. Her efforts led the Golden Hurricane to a second place finish, behind No. 2 UCLA.

This is her first career weekly honor by Conference USA.
