Tulsa Women's Hoops Fall, 68-46, to Houston

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's basketball team dropped a 68-46 decision to Houston on Saturday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. TU fell to 6-14 on the season and 2-6 in Conference USA, while UH moved to 13-7 overall and 5-3 in the league.
Tiffani Couisnard had a career-high nine points and added 10 rebounds to lead the Golden Hurricane in both categories. Kara Vaughan added seven points, while Chanel Johnson, Larrissa Williams and Chanice Scott each scored six.
Tulsa and Houston traded baskets to open the first half and with 16 minutes on the clock Johnson tied the contest at six-all, but that was as close as TU would get the remainder of the game, trailing by as many a 25 with just under three minutes in the contest.
Brittney Scott had a game-high 17 points, while Courtney Taylor added 11 points and Cobilyn Hill had 10 in the game. Taylor also pulled down 10 rebounds for Houston.
The Golden Hurricane had 20 points in the paint, 20 points from the bench and 13 second-chance points while shooting just 30-percent in the game. The Cougars had a 37-34 advantage in rebounds and a 9-7 lead in steals.
Tulsa will return to action on Thursday, February 6th against UCF. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. CST at UCF Arena in Orlando, Florida.
