Tulsa Women's Golf Team Places Seventh at UNLV Invitational

Boulder City, Nevada - The Tulsa women's golf team shot its best round with a 294 today to finish with a seventh-place, three-round 902 total at the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder Creek, Nevada. TU shot a 306 in the first round and a 302 in the second round.
Host and 43rd-ranked UNLV shot a 289 third-round today to finish with an 884 total for first place. Texas Tech finished two strokes back with an 886, eighth-ranked Georgia was third with an 894 total, while 38th-ranked Oregon and 36th-ranked Washington tied for fourth place with 895 totals.
The Golden Hurricane's Shu-Yin Liu recorded a 19th-place 223 total after shooting a final round 73 today. Kelly Fuchik placed 24th overall with a score of 226 after her round of 77 today.
Marita Engzelius finished in 32nd place with 228, Sarah Elliot placed 36th overall with a three-round 229 total and Woori Shin finished in 46th place.
Georgia's 36th-ranked Mallory Hetzel won the individual title with a three-round 214 total after carding a 68 in today's final round.
The Hurricane will be back in action on at the Besty Rawls Longhorn Invitational on March 20-22.
