C-USA Women's Golf Championship Suspended on Sunday

TULSA, OKLA. -- The first round of the Conference USA Women's Golf Championship was suspended before any of the teams hit the Tulsa Country Club course on Sunday. Rain ended at approximately 11:30 am, but the course was unplayable. The forecast called for more rain on Sunday afternoon.
The starting tee time for Monday is scheduled for 8:30 am. Officials are hopeful to play two rounds of 18 holes on Monday. However, the forecast calls for early morning rain.
Overnight rain continued through Sunday morning forcing poor course conditions and the eventual suspension of the first day of competition. The original start time of 8:30 am was delayed to 11:30 am, and again was delayed until a 1:30 pm projected start time.
The first day of competition was called at 12:40 pm.
Tulsa is the defending C-USA Championship and this year looks to win the school's 12th conference crown.
Admission to the tournament is free.
