Volleyball Sweeps Arkansas State Saturday in UTA Hilton Invitational

ARLINGTON, Texas - Freshman Tyler Henderson slammed 18 kills and hit .406 and junior Hannah Stout hit .583 with eight kills to lead The University of Tulsa volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Arkansas State Saturday morning in the UT Arlington Hilton Invitational at Texas Hall.
The Golden Hurricane (9-3) concludes the tournament at 5 p.m. Saturday against Texas Southern.
Henderson was the only Hurricane player with double-digit kills, but Stout and senior Jennifer Eichler had eight apiece, and Eichler added eight digs. Freshman libero Jessica Adams recorded 11 digs, sophomore Rachel Vukson tallied 23 assists and freshman Jordan Clampitt had 15 assists.
Tulsa hit .337 (44-13-92) with 39 assists, 38 digs and seven blocks. The Golden Hurricane averaged a 67 percent sideout rate. Arkansas State hit a .167 attack percentage (38-20-110) with 37 assists, 32 digs and four blocks.
