Tulsa, Okla. - The 36th-ranked Tulsa women's tennis team wrapped up its season-opening weekend with a 7-0 win over Memphis on Sunday morning at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Hurricane improves to a 3-0 record on the season.

Tulsa grabbed the doubles point with victories in all three positions. Alexandra Kichoutkin and JoAnne Karaitiana defeated Marjorie Ondeck and Dara Toulch, 8-3, in the No. 2 position, followed by Rebecca Row and Jie Zeng beating Amanda Brown and Kelly Gray, 8-2, in the third position.

In No. 1 doubles, Anastasia Erofeeva and Ewa Szatkowska battled from behind to defeat Courtney Collins and Ashley Murdock in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (7), to complete the doubles sweep.

Tulsa continued its strong play into singles, winning all six matches. Rebecca Row made quick work of Amanda Brown, 6-0, 6-0, in the fourth position, followed by a 6-2, 6-2, win from Anastasia Erofeeva over Kelly Gray in the No. 5 slot.

Caroline Beaulieu defeated Andrea Arques-Garcia, 6-1, 6-2, in No. 6 singles, Alexandra Kichoutkin topped Ashley Murdock, 6-4, 6-1, in the No. 1 flight, and JoAnne Karaitiana beat Courtney Collins, 6-1, 6-1, in No. 2 singles. Ewa Szatkowska completed the 7-0 victory with a win over Majorie Ondeck, claiming the first set 7-6 (6) before Ondeck retired in the second.

Tulsa returns to the court to face UALR and Cameron in a double-header on Sunday, January 24th at the Case Tennis Center.
